LEADING WITH PASSION & EXPERTISE
OUR STORY SO FAR
Your hosts and founders of the resilience retreat
Meet Ainsley & Caroline
Our friendship began at age four in nursery, and we've shared life’s milestones ever since—school, teenage adventures, and even having children at the same time. During a 40th birthday trip to Mexico, we dreamed of combining our skills to help people build resilience. Caroline’s expertise in personal resilience and Ainsley’s focus on yoga, mindfulness, and relaxation formed the perfect blend of mental and physical wellness.
With Ainsley transitioning from teaching to her wellness business and Caroline running a corporate training company, Resilience Retreat was born. We've since led multiple retreats, including hosting corporate clients like HP Inc. and Softcat PLC, and are proud to offer a unique experience that inspires lasting change.
“You are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. Like a muscle, you can build it, and draw on it when you need it.”
Sheryl Sandberg

“From the very beginning I felt at home. Caroline and Ainsley were very welcoming and Simon the chef was excellent in how he talked about the food - where it had come from, who the suppliers were and even gave a few cooking tips.
I found the group coaching extremely useful for my own development and Caroline put us all at ease. I am certainly going to use the tools Caroline gave through feedback, as they had such a positive impact on me.
Ainsley's yoga was just perfect for beginners and those a bit more experienced. The sound bath was such an unusual, yet pleasant experience and I will be listening to more at home.”
Sam Moxham, Progeny
“An amazing retreat that I would highly recommend. The sessions were expertly led by Ainsley and Caroline who are knowledgeable and passionate instructors delivering an authentic wellness experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the guided meditation and sound bath. I'm looking forward to doing it again soon.”
Dr Andrew McKinlay, Bentley Motors Ltd
Our team of weary IT professionals were at our wits end, struggling with stress and needing some TLC so we booked on to a course with the fabulous Caroline and Ainsley, much of the group wondering what a ‘Sound Bath’ was and if they needed a towel.
Pulling up to the venue we were gobsmacked, it looked amazing! On entering the building we were even more impressed, the ambience of the venue is very fitting for the occasion.
We started with some yoga for beginners which was just right for all of the abilities in the class. Then after a little refreshment break it was time for the bit I’d most been looking forward to, the sound bath. I found it to be so relaxing and we had to nudge one member of staff as they had nodded off. Ainsley is talented sound therapist and the fact that we had a chorus of birds outside the beautiful venue added to the brilliance.
After a delicious meal we were then passed over to Caroline, a master coach, who delivered a resilience course. The topics were thought provoking, informative and so helpful. Several members of our team had lightbulb moments which they transferred both into the workplace and at home. I couldn’t recommend it more! It was absolutely fabulous! ”
